UK law firm Goodman Derrick to drive efficiency with 3E Cloud
Putting it at the forefront of cloud adoption in the legal industry, UK law firm Goodman Derrick LLP is transitioning to 3E Cloud from Thomson Reuters, making it the second firm in the UK to choose the industry-leading cloud-based enterprise business management solution.
Founded in 1954 by Lord Arnold Goodman, Goodman Derrick is a leading commercial law firm based in the City of London. The firm has 20 partners and a team of 90 people providing first-class legal advice to businesses and individuals across a wide range of practice areas, and is considered a go-to London firm for ambitious businesses, entrepreneurs and high net worth and high-profile individuals. Its core areas of work include corporate transactions, commercial contracts, real estate, construction, dispute resolution, employment law, private wealth & family. In 2019, the firm was recognized by the Legal 500 as one of the top 10 firms in the UK in their prestigious Client Service Awards.
The firm, which currently uses legacy Thomson Reuters solution Envision, chose 3E Cloud as a key component of its innovative cloud-first technology strategy. The adoption of 3E will propel its operations to a new level of efficiency, in particular through the use of 3E Workspace, which puts all business management functionality – from time and revenue management to client and matter management – into one intuitive view.
Thomson Reuters will provide the firm with a fully managed service, powered by the Microsoft® Azure® platform and offering cloud confidence with nearly unlimited scale, 24/7 monitoring, advanced security rigor, and innovation opportunities unmatched in the industry.
“We look forward to working with Thomson Reuters to implement 3E Cloud to help us improve operational efficiency and support our strategic objectives of solid, sustainable, profitable growth,” said Mark Jones, Chief Operating Officer at Goodman Derrick.
