This course explains what all employees need to know about giving and receiving gifts, entertainment and other courtesies in the business context. It describes which business gifts and courtesies are appropriate and which are inappropriate, as well as how to handle questionable situations.
Business courtesies including gifts, meals and entertainment are an important way to cement good working relationships between those who do business together. However, the practice can have negative consequences for a company and its relationships with business partners if it is not handled correctly. Inappropriate business courtesies may even be illegal if they can be considered bribes or kickbacks.
