Lawyers: Have you taken some time to relax today?

Take a few minutes today to relax. You deserve it!

Here are some quick ways to relax your body and mind:

  • Deep breaths: Inhale through your nose for 3 seconds, pause, and exhale through your mouth for 3 seconds. Feel your stomach move as you breathe. Repeat this five times.
  • Release tension: Often, when we are stressed, we hold that stress in our body. Starting at your forehead, tense your muscles, then slowly release them. Work your way down through your muscles.
  • Do a brain dump: Take 5 minutes or less and write down everything that is in your mind. This can help you visualize what’s going on and prioritize thoughts and tasks that are most important.

Positive effects to relaxing

  • Healthier heart
  • Less stress
  • Improved brain function
  • Improved outlook on life
