    Analyst and College Football GameDay Host, ESPN

    Rece Davis joined ESPN in 1995 and was named the host for ESPN College GameDay Built by The Home Depot, the network’s flagship college football program, in February 2015. In addition, he is the prime host of the network’s on-site coverage for both the College Football Playoff and the NCAA Men’s Final Four. Previously, he was the host of ESPN’s Saturday college football pregame, halftime, and postgame studio coverage and College Football Final with analysts Lou Holtz and Mark May. Davis also called the ESPN College Football Primetime game on Thursday nights with Jesse Palmer, David Pollack, and Samantha Ponder until 2014. He remains the host of ESPN’s College GameDay basketball road show and calls select college basketball games.

    Prior to joining Sportico, McCann was a legal analyst and staff writer for Sports Illustrated from 2007 to 2020. McCann is an attorney and professor of law at the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law. In 2020, McCann created and taught the first NIL course at law schools. He testified before the U.S. Senate in 2021 as an expert witness on NIL legislation. McCann is the editor of the Oxford University Press Handbook of American Sports Law and, with Ed O'Bannon, co-author of Court Justice: The Inside Story of My Battle Against the NCAA.
