Transportation Agreement (Pro-Shipper)
A long-form agreement for the inland transportation of goods by truck (sometimes referred to as a domestic ground transportation agreement), drafted in favor of the customer of transportation services, commonly known as a shipper. This resource, which can also be used by ground transportation service providers (commonly referred to as carriers) for benchmarking purposes, includes key obligations of the carrier and its customer, and contemplates a direct agreement between the carrier and its customer without the involvement of a freight forwarder or other intermediary. This Standard Document has integrated notes with important explanations and drafting and negotiating tips.
