Change account name for Thomson Reuters legal products

You need to complete a PDF form and submit it online to change your account name.
The required PDF form depends on the type of change you're making: either a same owner name change or a new owner name change.
We'll respond to your request within 1 - 2 business days. If you're not sure which form to complete, choose the new owner name change form.
note
You don't need to complete and attach a name change form for changes to the attention line only. Start your request using our online form and make a note in the comments section that your request is for the attention line only.
  1. Determine if your account name change is a same owner or new owner name change.
    • A same owner name change is what you'd submit if you need to change the account name but there's no change in ownership. Typically, there's commonality between the old and new account names such as a common named partner. Same owner changes can also occur when a corporation changes their name as the result of an internal decision rather than a merger or buyout.
    • You need to submit a new owner name change when it's the result of a new entity being created. No commonality between the two account names generally indicates new ownership of an account.
  2. Download and fill out the same owner PDF form or new owner PDF form for name changes.
  3. Save the completed PDF file to your computer.
  4. Start your request using our online form.
  5. Fill in your contact information and summary of your request, then select
    Next

  6. Select
    Choose File
     and locate the saved same owner or new owner name change PDF file on your computer.
  7. Select
    Attach/Upload Files
    .
  8. Select
    Submit
     to send your request to our Customer Service team.

Name change new owner

You need to submit a new owner name change when it's the result of a new entity being created.
No commonality between the two account names generally indicates new ownership of an account.
