Thomson Reuters commitment to understanding today’s corporate counsel and their needs, prompted us to continue our biannual survey of your colleagues. We surveyed over 400 attorneys and senior administrators in corporate legal departments to examine their ongoing efforts to improve efficiency and productivity across their in-house teams. Corporate legal departments are being asked to do more than ever, without expanded tools or headcount at their disposal. Pressure to do more with less (or the same amount of resources as before) and to be quick leads to inefficiencies, lack of clarity, and an increased reliance on outside counsel.
