Download instructions for single and multiple desktop users

The Nuget package cache directory has changed from the user-specific %USERPROFILE%\.nuget folder to the ProgramData folder in order to spare space, and prevent the need to download the packages from Thomson Reuters’ cloud by each user if the same version packages are already available in the installer cache or downloaded by another user. Also, the location of the nuget cache folder could be configured during installation by an additional parameter if ProgramData does not work well.

The following installation parameters are supported, only one can be set at a time:

Parameter Specifies
*cannot be used with an RM/OL parameter
How to execute : msiexec.exe /i [path_to_the_file]\TRDT_setup.msi NUGET_GLOBAL_PACKAGES_FOLDER="C:\Thomson Reuters\TRIAD\packages"

*Starting with release 5.541.1023 (5.541.1023), Drafting Assistant installation consists of two parts:

    1. Installation framework installed into the %ProgramFiles(x86)%\Thomson Reuters\TRIAD folder and providing core services for add-in startup and hosting product binaries
    2. Product binaries installed into the%LocalAppData%\TRIAD folder and containing business logic

The version numbering scheme includes a number for the installation framework, followed by the version number for the product binaries in parentheses. The product binaries contain business logic that can be updated more often than the installation framework. Product binaries are hosted by the installation framework that precedes the product binaries version. Therefore, the product binaries version number will be the same or newer than that framework version number. Product binaries can also be updated automatically without reinstalling Drafting Assistant.

  • Drafting Assistant server releases do not make changes to your local machine. They are automatically available without a new installation except where noted.
